Aiman Mussakhajayeva, People's artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is the brightest representative of the violin school of her country A graduate of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, she won prestigious prizes including the Paganini Sibelius and Tchaikovsky International Competitions. Founder and head of the State Chamber Orchestra "Academy of Soloists" she has taken the orchestra to Russia, the USA, Japan, Germany and Austria. Since 1993, a jury member at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow, Aiman is also a professor at the Moscow, Almaty, Astana, and Bishkek Music Conservatoires. In 1998, she opened the Kazakh National Academy of Music in Astana, the new capital of Kazakhstan, where she serves as President. Among the titles she holds is UNESCO "Artist for Peace" (1998).
